Hello, fellow GRC enthusiasts! As we wrap up another quarter, I’m thrilled to share the latest updates and enhancements we’ve made at ZenGRC. These new features are not just incremental improvements; they are transformative tools and revolutionized workflows that enable organizations to tackle GRC challenges like a pro.
A Day in the Life of a ZenGRC Pro
Imagine starting your day with a comprehensive view of your organization’s threat landscape. With ZenGRC Pro’s new Integrated Threat Management feature, you can easily identify, assess, and prioritize threats, while having a clear view of their connections to vulnerabilities, assets, and risks. This holistic approach is invaluable for making informed decisions and strategizing mitigation efforts.
Next, dive into our new Actionable Risk Heatmap, which provides a visual representation of risks and allows you to quickly spot high-priority activities. By hovering over a tile, you get a detailed list of associated risks, and with a simple click, you can drill down into specifics. This interactive map transforms how you communicate risk levels to stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands where to focus efforts.
Now, it’s time for ZenGRC Pro’s Enhanced Risk Workflows to kick into action. The platform’s new automated risk scoring dynamically updates residual risk scores whenever mapped controls change. This automation saves you countless hours of manual updates and ensures your risk profiles are always accurate. It’s like having an assistant who never misses a detail.
But wait, there’s more! Creating and managing controls is now a breeze with the Create Controls from Reference Controls feature. Using the Secure Controls Framework as a baseline, you can replicate and customize controls to fit your specific needs. This flexibility supports rapid scalability and ensures your compliance efforts are both thorough and adaptable to new regulations.
We all know that controls are only as good as the evidence that supports them. Which is why connectors were a key priority for us this past quarter. The new ZenGRC Pro Custom Fetchers allow you to pull data from various systems, such as KnowBe4 for training campaigns, ServiceNow for user lists, and Google Workspace for files. This data collection capability ensures you have all necessary information at your fingertips, reducing the need for manual data entry and minimizing the risk of errors.
The ZenGRC Pro Jira integration was also enhanced with bidirectional objecting syncing. And the ZenAPI was updated to include new ZenGRC object mappings.
Enhancing User Experience and Control
User experience has always been a priority, and ZenGRC Pro’s latest updates reflect this commitment. The addition of Tool Tips throughout the platform provides instant guidance, helping users navigate and utilize features effectively. And to help new users get up to speed quickly, we published comprehensive Compliance Quick Start and Risk Quick Start Guides. These guides walk users through the best practices for setting up ZenGRC Pro, ensuring they can leverage the platform to its full potential right from the start.
ZenGRC Pro access control enhancements now allow for Object-Based Permissions. As an admin, you can finely tune who has access to what, ensuring sensitive information is secure. And in ZenGRC, when a user account is set to No Access, “deactivated” will automatically append to the Name Field. Should the user account become active again, the “deactivated” will be removed from the Name Field. This granularity in access control and oversight is crucial for maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
The new Formatted Reports for continuous compliance and third-party risk assessments provide quick snapshots of your compliance posture. These ZenGRC Pro reports are invaluable for audits and executive briefings, presenting complex data in an easily digestible format. Customizable interface themes and colors allow you to align the software’s appearance with your corporate branding, creating a cohesive look and feel.
Lastly, ZenGRC workflow triggers were expanded. Users can now create a workflow based on the Creation, Updating, or Deletion of an object, or a Questionnaire Response. This functionality further automates end-to-end GRC management, while enhancing transparency and collaboration with stakeholders.
No update is complete without addressing pesky bugs. ZenGRC Pro has fixed several issues, such as allowing admins to delete connectors, ensuring filtered content displays correctly, and resolving errors with questionnaire links. These fixes improve overall reliability, ensuring a smooth user experience.
These innovations ensure you stay ahead of the curve, meeting regulatory requirements and mitigating risks with confidence.
Stay tuned for more updates, and happy GRC-ing! If you have any questions or need further details, feel free to reach out in the ZenGRC Community!
